I was born to do this!

I come from a family of artists. I've always known I was a creative person, but just wasn't sure how I was going to harness all this energy.

In college, after many art and design classes, I took interior design and knew immediately I had found my calling. Looking back, there had been signs all along the way telling me I was born to enjoy this profession.

When my first son was born, I decided to open my own firm so I could better balance interior design work and motherhood. In 2003, Carla Royder Designs & Co. was born.  It is the best thing I have ever done. Owning my own business has allowed me to have it all. I am so blessed.


I still strive to re-invent my business in new ways.  I guess the creative part of me won't allow me to remain static.  Currently, we are working on an online catalog where you can purchase truly wonderful and unique things.  I have an obsession with textiles and items that tell as story.
